Our collars measure from the buckle fold to the middle hole of the collar. Each collar come with 5 holes.
5/8” wide collars space between the holes is ½”
¾” wide collars space between holes is ¾”
1”, 1.5” and 2” wide collar space between holes is 1”.

All our collars are hand-crafted, single-thickness, full-grain, first grade, high quality bridle, latigo or harness leather.

Nameplate will be attached to the collar with the same hardware that the buyer will choose for buckle and D Ring!

Each collar is cut in our workshop than the raw cut edges sealed, to creates a water-resistant barrier and smooth finish, by burnishing the edges twice, one by burnish the edges with glycerin then burnish again with gum tragacanth, we finish with conditioning the leather. With time the leather gets softer and will format a beautiful patina.

Our collars’ hardware is made only from solid brass and stainless steel.

Because leather is a natural product there may be natural blemishes and natural markings that vary from hide to hide and will have color variations, Markings and shading distinguish genuine leather from man-made materials. Our leathers appeal to customers who find the natural color variations, markings, and patina of pure aniline leathers unique and beautiful. They may not appeal to customers who want uniform color and surface commonly seen on less expensive leathers that are heavily corrected and pigmented.

With time our collars color will get darker with patina, patina is the character and sheen that develops slowly on the surface of leather goods through time, with regular use. Water, exposure to natural forces, and also some dogs breed have more oily coats then other, all these can format patina faster creating a darker, richer hue in the areas that close to the dog’s fur. We do recommend choosing dark color collar to buyers that don’t want to see change in color of the collar.

Leather is natural material, and it does not scratch resistance! dog’s teeth, nails, prong collars, and sharp objects can leave marks on the collars, most surface scratches will fade over time if you rub them with your fingertips. The heat from rubbing will help to redistribute wax in surrounding areas to cover the scratch. Not all scratches have the same depth, and this may not work on deeper scratches.

Tips for an accurate measurement
1) Measure around the neck - Around the area center of the neck for exact fit, for loose fit
2) measure the area where the neck is the widest. Make sure the dog’s head is in neutral position and the tape measurement is flat and snug.
 
 
PLEASE DO NOT MEASURE YOUR DOG'S COLLAR! FOR THE BEST FIT USE A CLOTH MEASURING TAPE AND WRAP IT AROUND YOUR DOG'S NECK UNTIL THE ENDS MEET.
Each collar is made to last using quality plated hardware and the finest leather.

Lei Custom Collars are individually handmade which means that every collar has unique characteristics based on the material and the design process. Every item is one of a kind and may slightly vary from the pictures. Over time the collar will add and enhance its unique features, a process common to high end leather products. 
 
Important- if the collar gets wet, immediately remove the collar from your dog in order for the collar to retain its shape and color. Let the collar dry naturally before putting it back on your dog.
